Hello!
I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about "just renaming"... Python-pam ( http://atlee.ca/software/pam/ ) is actual and correct name of said library and as far as I know, it doesn't have python3 support. Last officially supported version is 2.5, but it works well up to 2.7.

If the package provides only python2 module it should have name python2-* according to the our naming policy [1]. I didn't find any information does this module supports python3 or not on its homepage [2]. But Ubuntu [3] provides both versions, so I think that we can do it too. I send a copy of this email with your answer to the mailing list since all discusses should take place on it. 1. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Python_Package_Guidelines 2. http://atlee.ca/software/pam/ 3. https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/python-pam -- С уважением, Е.Алексеев. Well, I've quickly looked at diff between your pam.py and original one. I think if you want upload your module to AUR it should have a different name, because your module is a fork with significant changes until your patch will not be accepted by upstream (did you contact it, aren't you?). Anyway the current package should be renamed to python2-pam as I described this in the first email. -- С уважением, Е.Алексеев.
