[aur-requests] [PRQ#6006] Orphan Request for dpkg
ido [1] filed a orphan request for dpkg [2]: This package was orphaned and then adopted by bertptrs without any notice to me, without any 2 week waiting period, etc., on a Sunday morning. bertptrs then improperly updated it to the Debian unstable upstream version, when it is supposed to track the Debian stable version. No conversation, no emails to me, no discussion. Please revert ownership. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/ido/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/dpkg/

Debian stable packages are always old. 1.18.9 is the latest stable release of dpkg. https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/dpkg/dpkg.git
Request #6006 has been accepted by bertptrs [1]: The user bertptrs disowned the package. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/bertptrs/
By disowning this, maintainership went to the comaintainer lotia, another reason why taking ownership of a package without discussion or a waiting period can further screw up the package. Please re-add me as the maintainer of this package, and revert the changes made by bertptrs. Thanks, Ido On Sun, Jul 17, 2016 at 11:50 AM, <notify@aur.archlinux.org> wrote:
