[PRQ#63608] Deletion Request for prismlauncher-cracked
Kurumi78 [1] filed a deletion request for prismlauncher-cracked [2]: This fork of Prismlauncher does not require users to own the game it is launching (Minecraft). This is bypassing DRM, enabling piracy. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/Kurumi78/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/prismlauncher-cracked/
Request #63608 has been Rejected by Foxboron [1]: This is the AUR. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/Foxboron/
Unless I am mistaken, other packages have been removed for the same reason. Request #40863 <https://lists.archlinux.org/archives/list/aur-requests@lists.archlinux.org/thread/LXP2DQ6J4QWV6RXKAEDGDBSRULORBOFX/#LXP2DQ6J4QWV6RXKAEDGDBSRULORBOFX> and Request #37171 <https://lists.archlinux.org/archives/list/aur-requests@lists.archlinux.org/thread/6QWJJ3USDUA6O2CVJ5R7IFLQLYYKOGFW/#SJUTSZE4ND2SJDSMJ7H2ORMRIVP2TAPL> to name two of them. I believe it also states in the FAQ of the AUR wiki page <https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_User_Repository#What_kind_of_packages_are_permitted_on_the_AUR?> that everything is allowed **as long as you are in compliance with the licensing terms of the content.** Which this package, among other packages submitted for review today definitely do not follow the Licensing terms of Minecraft. I believe I'm missing what about the AUR would make this among other packages submitted today fine, but the two I have previously brought up not fine. T
