Hello, I would like to mention in addition to what Erus has highlighted, upstream seems abandoned as there has not been any commits, the developers have not replied to pull requests. It appears even if this was fixed, it wouldn't be worth it with no support from upstream. Best just to use polybar, or an alternative which is still supported!
