[PRQ#51998] Deletion Request for lenopow
schinfo [1] filed a deletion request for lenopow [2]: This package was stolen!!! I'm the real owner. It was published with Manjaro Linux. https://gitlab.manjaro.org/packages/community/lenopow/-/blob/master/PKGBUILD [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/schinfo/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/lenopow/
Manjaro Linux is free software. See here: https://manjaro.org/terms-of-use/ Therefore it's free to reuse its PKGBUILD scripts as well. On 5 December 2023 20:38:10 GMT+01:00, notify@aur.archlinux.org wrote:

Request #51998 has been Rejected by Antiz [1]: The AUR only stores PKGBUILDs, no sources nor packages are hosted on it, so there's no package to "stole" here. Even despite that, the lenopow wrapper script seems to be licensed under the "unlicense" license which implies that "Anyone is free to copy, modify, publish, use, compile, sell, or distribute this software, either in source code form or as a compiled binary, for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial, and by any means." Nothing has been stolen and this PKGBUILD can totally be on the AUR legitimately. Unless the current maintainer of the AUR PKGBUILD express their wishes for it to be removed, there's no reason to delete it. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/Antiz/
