[aur-requests] [PRQ#484] Merge Request for gtkparasite-gtk3-git
Scimmia [1] filed a request to merge gtkparasite-gtk3-git [2] into gtkparasite-git [3]: gtkparasite has switched to gtk3 only, so this is now a duplicate. Hi
Scimmia [1] filed a request to merge gtkparasite-gtk3-git [2] into gtkparasite-git [3]:
gtkparasite has switched to gtk3 only, so this is now a duplicate.
I'm glad to accept this merge request the package gtkparasite-git must be updated from the maintainer in order to make it build and work properly. Luo Limao would you please update the gtkparasite-git package fixing the dependencies list? Remove from dependencies list: pygtk Add to the dependencies list: python2 and gsettings-desktop-schemas Add to the makedependencies list: gnome-common Feel free to give a look at the gtkparasite-gtk3-git PKGBUILD: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gt/gtkparasite-gtk3-git/PKGBUILD While it's not strictly required, a .install file with the instructions how to use this module would be useful. Please refer to: https://github.com/muflone/pkgbuilds/blob/master/gtkparasite-gtk3-git/gtkpar... Obviously if you would add such install file you have to specify it also in the PKGBUILD. Hi some days ago I replied to the merge request [1] asking to the gtkparasite-git [2] maintainer to fix his package first before to accept the merge. The gtkparasite-gtk3-git package was fine and properly updated by me while the gtkparasite-git wasn't and still it's not fixed, it doesn't build neither and has a lot of wrong dependencies. The comments in the AUR were never been applied from the maintainer and the package itself seems abandoned. I'm sure that Xyne which accepted the merge [3] has not seen my previous reply to that request but in order to prevent the recurrence of these situations, could we clear how to handle requests that cannot immediately be accepted or rejected? It's not a matter of that package but also a way to avoid to look silly, where a TU asks to the package maintainer to do something first and then another TU however accepts the request.
