[PRQ#63681] Merge Request for discover-snap-6
yochananmarqos [1] filed a request to merge discover-snap-6 [2] into discover-snap [3]: Re: PRQ#63661 @Muflone: Perhaps my previous merge request did not include enough information. I saw discover-snap-6 was added to the AUR recently, noticed discover- snap had been flagged out of date for over 180 days so I orphaned it. I then left a comment for the discover-snap-6 maintainer and asked him to adopt discover-snap and update it for Qt 6 rather than creating a duplicate package. If you did not know, discover-snap is (well, should be) identical to the discover package in the extra repo except that it enables the BUILD_SnapBackend Cmake flag for Snap support. Request #63681 has been Rejected by Muflone [1]: @yochananmarqos I already answered you in the previous #63661 request. There's no reason to merge discover-snap-6 into discover-snap. The merge request ONLY transfers votes (zero) and comments (1=your). No sources, no maintainers are transferred with the merge. Approving the merge would result in keeping the package discover-snap 5.27.10-1, deleting discover-snap-6 6.1.4-1 and transferring 0 votes from the latter. Zero benefits and the discover-snap-6 package lost. Whenever someone will adopt discover-snap package and update it to the version 6, then the discover-snap-6 package could be removed or merged.
