[PRQ#61735] Merge Request for foonathan_memory-shared
windel [1] filed a request to merge foonathan_memory-shared [2] into foonathan_memory [3]: Hi, I noticed these similar packages. I suggest merging into foonathan_memory. I changed its PKGBUILD to using shared libraries. Nice, sounds good to me. Is there anything I should do? (I couldn't find an option on the AUR web interface to accept the request)

Hi Dennis, I can add you as a co-maintainer of the foonathan_memory if you want? That seems like a good idea to me. I think what should be done, is delete the foonathan_memory-shared package, and change the depending packages to depend on foonathan_memory. On another note, I saw that you worked on packaging fastdds, something I also looked into today. I created fastcdr and fastdds packages on AUR as well. Maybe those are candidate for merging as well? Sure, sounds good.

Done. I've updated the 2 eprosima-... packages which depended on foonathan_memory-shared and the deletion request has been accepted.
On another note, I saw that you worked on packaging fastdds, something I also looked into today. I created fastcdr and fastdds packages on AUR as well. Maybe those are candidate for merging as well?
That would be fine with me. In addition to fastcdr and fastdds, I've also packaged the XRCE packages (eprosima-{micro-cdr,micro-xrce-dds-agent,micro-xrce-dds-client}. Lately I have not really kept up with releases (I'm not an active user of these packages anymore). The co-maintainer of those packages (kistlin [1]) has been a bit more active. If useful, you could ask them to co-maintain the new dds packages. (I'm not sure how to reach them given that their email address is hidden for me) Kind regards, Dennis [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/kistlin
