[aur-requests] [PRQ#2433] Merge Request for grass
czk [1] filed a request to merge grass [2] into grass64 [3]: I have just inherited an outdated "grass" and want to have it merged into my "grass64". The 2 are esentially the same software, only the "grass64" package is up-to-date and better maintained. Actually I don't feel the need. Why not leave it as is for now and just update the grass package to GRASS 7.0 when it get released? Regards, Felix Yan

grass is a qgis-1.6 and gstat dependency. Can QGIS depend on GRASS 7? Last time (few months ago) I checked it could not. And what about gstat? Maciek -- Maciej Sieczka http://www.sieczka.org

The merge won't help for this, they still have to update their dependencies after the merge. Regards, Felix Yan

I still want to merge grass into grass64, then release GRASS 7.0 as "grass". Who is to decide whether to merge or not? Maciek -- Maciej Sieczka http://www.sieczka.org
