MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for npd6 [2]: Low-level IPv6 network tool for gateway routing, developed between 2011 and 2014, to solve some problems that existed at that time with IPv6 local address assignment and then helping incoming response routing to reach each device that sent an ICMP request. I think at this point this package can be deleted, as there are well- established solutions for IPv6 routing nowadays, no need to run this historical daemon on internet gateway/router devices.
