shaggytwodope [1] filed a deletion request for mate-menu-git [2]: The upstream is considerably broken and needs a few patches to run. The package https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mate-menu/ is far more suited to be in the aur at this time. I think it's best this one be removed.
