I'm really confused, what did this package ever do to begin with? makepkg strips out the static libraries if you do build them, and this PKGBUILD seems to have been uploaded purely for the sake of disabling their wasteful compilation. -- Eli Schwartz Bug Wrangler and Trusted User

I know libcurl-compat was in the AUR at some point, maybe it included static libs there? Don't really know and don't care enough to go look it up. :p
