MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for gyp-git [2]: Unused, broken Python2 based VCS pkg from 2017. Upstream doesn't create release tags, and seldom pushes commits (only once or twice a year). Extra repo carries the gyp package, and it is like a git build - maintainer updates it from master branch with sufficient frequency.
