MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for bump2version [2]: bump2version had its last release in 2020. In 2023, upstream added a remark in README, saying this is unmaintained and should not be used anymore. [a] Safe to delete from AUR: not actually needed. (In fact this tool was chiefly used by developers in their automated CI based release workflow, so declaring this as a make/check depend on AUR has always been superfluous.) The relevant AUR package maintainer has been notified by me that their package has a newer version, and bump2version is not required by it.
