[PRQ#50991] Deletion Request for mpp-git
MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for mpp-git [2]: ARM-only package. This should be submitted to ArchLinuxARM.org, not to AUR: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_package_guidelines#Architectures https://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=4 (Yes, they do host -git packages as well.) [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/MarsSeed/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/mpp-git/
The package provides up-to-date rockchip-mpp as its vcs alternative for x86_64, which is a dependency for ffmpeg-full[1] on x86_64 https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/ffmpeg-full
ffmpeg-full shall drop the rockchip-mpp from its dependencies, since the latter is ARM-only. The rockchip-mpp package should also be deleted from the AUR repo. I plan to submit requests to effect these. Please see other similar deletion requests for ARM-only packages, like this one: [PRQ#44308] Deletion Request for ruffle-arm https://lists.archlinux.org/hyperkitty/list/aur-requests@lists.archlinux.org... The dependency chain needs to go downwards. This should be deleted together with rockchip-mpp, but both after ffmpeg-full dropping mpp dependency. Deleting mpp without touching ffmpeg-full first breaks ffmpeg-full
Submitter and previous maintainer @boogiepop has disowned the package and that promoted me from co-maintainer to maintainer. I hereby agree on the deletion as the affected pacakge's maintainer and please consider PRQ#50991 as maintainer's own deletion request.
Request #50991 has been Accepted by muflone [1]: [Autogenerated] Accepted deletion for mpp-git. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/muflone/
