xiota [1] filed a deletion request for python-fuzzywuzzy [2]: No need for this package. Upstream discontinued and renamed to "thefuzz". The python-thefuzz package provides backward compatibility. The current maintainer is just holding the package. Did not update to current packaging standards upon adoption, like switching to PEP 517 install method.
