[aur-requests] [PRQ#20178] Deletion Request for mop
sudoforge [1] filed a deletion request for mop [2]: The upstream project has not had a new release since 2015, and that release is wildly unstable / broken. I recommend deleting this package. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/sudoforge/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/mop/

Did you try asking upstream to tag a release? -- Eli Schwartz Bug Wrangler and Trusted User
In that timeframe, the author changed. The new author doesn't use git tags, nor github releases. I didn't bother asking for the author to change their habits and begin creating releases as there's a `mop-git` package on the AUR for users who want to use the program in question. -- Ben Denhartog ben@sudoforge.com On Thu, Jul 23, 2020, at 18:25, Eli Schwartz wrote:

Seems like a good rationale to just delete it... -- Eli Schwartz Bug Wrangler and Trusted User
