[PRQ#42223] Deletion Request for spfft-cuda-git
simonp [1] filed a deletion request for spfft-cuda-git [2]: Hello, I'd like to request deletion of this package. Spfft has become a stable code, there is no reason to have a git package of it. Also, the most recent version is already provided by https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/spfft [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/simonp/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/spfft-cuda-git/
Request #42223 has been Accepted by polyzen [1]: [Autogenerated] Accepted deletion for spfft-cuda-git. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/polyzen/
Spfft has become a stable code, there is no reason to have a git package of it.
This is not a valid reason on its own to delete a VCS package of an actively developed project. On 17 June 2023 07:09:51 GMT+02:00, notify@aur.archlinux.org wrote:

Dear Marcell, it should be fine to delete it. The only package that depended on it was `sirius-git`. `spfft` is also provided by https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/spfft, which is up-to-date and correctly handles the optional dependency on cuda. `sirius-git` has apparently not been used by anyone for at least 1.5 years, the dependencies on costa and spla have been missing since then ...
