MarsSeed [1] filed a request to merge chirp-daily [2] into chirp-next [3]: chirp-daily is an orphan package last updated in 2022. Upstream has been working on a rewrite called 'chirp-next', which at this point is quite stable and mature. The 'chirp-next' package seems to be a suitable alternative to the defunct 'daily' one, for the latest experimental snapshot.
