MarsSeed [1] filed a request to merge sdrpp [2] into sdrpp-git [3]: Upstream's last stable release came 2+ years ago (Oct 18, 2021). It fails to build with current packages. Therefore it makes sense to keep only the VCS package, because the master branch code works and is actively maintained.
