MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for mysql-python [2]: Nothing uses this old MySQL/MariaDB Python2 bindings anymore. (The idjc packages on AUR are Python3 based, and they only define optdepends on this. But I've notified their maintainer to change those optdepends to the Python3 based bindings package, available from repo.)
