[PRQ#49656] Deletion Request for ksysguard-daemon
MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for ksysguard-daemon [2]: Bogus package from 2021, which uses wget to fetch the 'ksysguard' Arch package tarball not from the internet, but from the local pacman cache (if it isn't there, the packaging will fail). Then it unpacks the pacman package tarball and repackages only parts of it. It also uses mkdir to create the usr/bin dir, without setting its permissions. This kind of hackery is not allowed on AUR. Please delete this package. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/MarsSeed/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/ksysguard-daemon/
Former maintainer disowned the package, expressing no objection to the deletion request. On 26 October 2023 14:20:59 GMT+02:00, notify@aur.archlinux.org wrote:
