[aur-requests] [PRQ#5440] Deletion Request for python-pygithub
mis [1] filed a deletion request for python-pygithub [2]: in [communiy] https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/any/python- pygithub/ [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/mis/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/python-pygithub/
fwiw, I made the other guy co-maintainter and commented on why I think it should be the other package removed basically my point is that python-github is wrong, because the python module is called pygithub so the package should be named python-pygithub also, python-pygithub was submitted first, the other guy made the actual duplicate On Fri, May 13, 2016 at 10:07 AM, <notify@aur.archlinux.org> wrote:

As far as I see this is a duplicate of python-pygithub available in the community repo. Am 13.05.2016 um 10:31 schrieb Giulio Fidente:

ahah which is very funny as that'd be a third implementation of the same package with yet another maintainer and the newest one submitted I am not sure what is the process to promote a package from AUR into community and if there is a process at all, I didn't get any notification about the new addition into community but I am fine deprecating/deleting python-pygithub at this point. I think python-github and python2-github from AUR should be deleted as well?

If they provide the same thing I think so, yes.

Sorry I didn't notice there's an AUR package when I created the package in [community]. I'll be more careful and give a notice next time :) -- Regards, Felix Yan
