op3 [1] filed a deletion request for python-rootpy-git [2]: rootpy has been pretty much unmaintained for >2 years, with no bugfixes at all in the past year. It is neither compatible with root>=6.18 nor with python>=3.8. Meanwhile, the native PyROOT interface of ROOT is improving, reducing the need for an additional compatibility layer.
