[PRQ#60909] Deletion Request for gradience-git
xiota [1] filed a deletion request for gradience-git [2]: Package is currently broken because of depends on non-existent package. Upstream project is incompatible with Python 3.12. Unlikely to be fixed soon because project is not actively maintained. [a] Last real commit appears to be 9 months ago. Vast majority of activity is from automated bots. No point keeping broken package for unmaintained project. Package can be recreated if project is revived and updated. The stable package aur/gradience can now be built and started with python-yapsy-git (further functionality untested). However, the deletion request against aur/gradience-git stands because the program still does not start, producing numerous "RuntimeError", "KeyError", and "Gtk-CRITICAL" messages. As previously mentioned, these issues are unlikely to be resolved soon because upstream is effectively in an unmaintained state. The package can be recreated when project status changes.
