[PRQ#52096] Merge Request for picom-simpleanims-next-git
MarsSeed [1] filed a request to merge picom-simpleanims-next-git [2] into picom-ftlabs-git [3]: 'picom-simpleanims-next-git' is broken, and is for an abandoned, no longer maintained fork [a] of the actively developed 'FT-Labs' picom fork. [b] The branch used by the former has last been updated on March 4, 2023, and is now 123 commits behind upstream. Therefore it no longer seems useful to keep the picom-simpleanims- next-git package. Hello, Thank you for bringing this to my attention. In response to MarsSeed's previous request regarding picom-simpleanims-next-git, I mentioned that the mainstream FT-Labs version was unstable. However, I have switched away from Xorg since then, so I cannot say whether this package is still useful. The mainstream has potentially smoothed out any previous bugs, so I am open to your suggestion of removing this package. Please feel free to proceed with the removal of picom-simpleanims-next-git if you deem it appropriate. ---- On Sun, 10 Dec 2023 10:35:32 -0500 <notify@aur.archlinux.org> wrote --- MarsSeed [1] filed a request to merge picom-simpleanims-next-git [2] into picom-ftlabs-git [3]: 'picom-simpleanims-next-git' is broken, and is for an abandoned, no longer maintained fork [a] of the actively developed 'FT-Labs' picom fork.
