MarsSeed [1] filed a request to merge mono-nightly [2] into mono-git [3]: 'mono-nightly' is defunct, unmaintained since 2022-03-07. Its owner is MIA since 2022-05. It has no comments, and only 1 AUR vote. Even if updated every day, it would still practically be the same as the '-git' package. Enough to keep the latter.
