[aur-requests] [PRQ#11903] Orphan Request for firefox-extension-greasemonkey
GI_Jack [1] filed a orphan request for firefox-extension-greasemonkey [2]: Can you either orphan or make me co-maintainer? [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/GI_Jack/ [2] https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/firefox-extension-greasemonkey/
The update you proposed will not work. You need to remove the old plugin file searching for its emid from the Firefox user folder. Also you can't be sure from which version an user is updating so that emid can be pretty anything. Your PKGBUILD would work ONLY if you are installing but not updating the package, maybe there's some function than you can use in the install file to remove the old package first... I don't know Basically your PKGBUILD will do a fake update saying that the plugin is 4.4, while instead Firefox is still using any old version previously installed, so be EXTRA careful to solve that. I orphaned it, go for it tiger :D Il giorno mar 26 giu 2018 alle ore 07:35 <notify@aur.archlinux.org> ha scritto:

Um... what? addons installed via pacman are not in the user's profile folder. There's nothing to remove. And the emid of a given plugin very rarely changes. ;) -- Eli Schwartz Bug Wrangler and Trusted User
Request #11903 has been accepted automatically by the Arch User Repository package request system: The user marcs disowned the package.
