[aur-requests] [PRQ#12200] Deletion Request for qt5-fsarchiver
jonathon [1] filed a deletion request for qt5-fsarchiver [2]: There is a severe bug which may result in deletion of the root partition: https://sourceforge.net/p/qt4-fsarchiver/discussion/1196657/thread/f382575a/... Developer's response is here: https://sourceforge.net/p/qt4-fsarchiver/discussion/1196657/thread/f382575a/... , essentially "don't kill the backup process or your partition will be wiped". This seems needlessly potentially harmful and likely represents a severe breakage in the underlying software. Removing the "cancel" UI button isn't a fix for potential data loss given the variety of ways of closing or interrupting a program's operation. Have you considered discussing the bug with the upstream dev before simply nuking it from high orbit? -- Eli Schwartz Bug Wrangler and Trusted User
