[aur-requests] [PRQ#36040] Deletion Request for pac4cli-git
MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for pac4cli-git [2]: Development on pac4cli has stopped in 2019. So there is no need anymore for a VCS package. Moreover, this is not even a pure VCS package, as it uses released tarballs as well. Also, this is not a proper package, because it packages multiple separate stable packages into one (pacparser carried by [community], and also a PyPI module called txdbus). I think it is better to delete this jumble of a package. There are only three dependents; they need to adjust their dependency references to continue to work. # Note: resending to aur-requests as previously I was not subscribed. Now there is only one dependent remaining, and it actually just wants a Python module included in this mishmash package. That small Python module should have its own package instead of being part of a defunct VCS package for another application. On 28 June 2022 15:43:14 GMT+02:00, notify@aur.archlinux.org wrote:

Request #36040 has been Rejected by Muflone [1]: I'm not yet convinced on deliberately breaking the dependant packages [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/Muflone/
