[aur-requests] [PRQ#15115] Orphan Request for mxisd
maxidorius [1] filed a orphan request for mxisd [2]: Hi, I am the author of the mxisd project with a AUR package at https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mxisd/. The package is now quite obsolete and uses a buggy version which is causing user issues. We have tried to contact the maintainer by all known channels but without success at this point. While we do not necessarly want to have the maintainer changed, we would like to be able to get in touch with them if possible and see if they are interested to keep the package updated. Hi Max! I'll gladly send you over the maintainership of the package if you want it since you most probably use it more than I do :) I'm sorry to let the versions lag behing but I did had to reinstall my system and then went out of time to fully configure it for development. I very much appreciate the contribution and the fact that the package is done by an independent source, I just couldn't find a way to reach you until now, even tho I tried several channels. Thanks for getting back to me! I would be very happy if you have time to remain the maintainer. Let me know what is easiest for you, or happy to take ownership (or co-ownership/mainteainer if that's possible?) and do it myself. Up to you, I'll be happy with whatever your choice is. Request #15115 has been rejected by eschwartz [1]: Thanks for your interest! Usually the best way to contact a package maintainer is to leave a comment on the package details page -- or to flag the package out of date. This is a requirement in order to get the package to be orphaned, as we don't know what other methods you've used. In this case, the package maintainer has granted you co-maintainership rights, so it is no longer necessary to orphan it. [1] https://aur.archlinux.org/account/eschwartz/
