kescherAUR [1] filed an orphan request for xdg-desktop-portal-git [2]: It has been over a month since the build is broken, and approximately three quarters of a year since the author hasn't responded to an out- of-date flag. I do intend to apply my patch that is in the comments to get this VCS package building again once this happens.
