Hello all,
Updated in the usual place, see the instructions at http://dale.phraktured.net/
Hey Dale, Great work with this even if we don't get back to you real quick about it. I'm glad to see you took the time to follow though with it. At this point, I have a few questions and comments: 1) How smoothly does this integrate with makepkg? Can we get this code into the real makepkg and have it enabled/disabled by an option in makepkg.conf? 2) I'm sure Aaron and I would be willing to help generate some deltas in the packages we build if we want to get a larger collection of packages thrown in your repo, if the above "requirement" can be met. This would allow for quite a few people to start using the repos, and ensure the stability of your tools. 3) I am guessing xdelta generation can take a good amount of time, so at what size package does it start to become worth it to generate them? Should we set some sort of cutoff such as 5 MB? -Dan
