IMO (8/8) is meaningless.
It varies from 1/8 to 8/8 during the install process as each package is checked. It's meaningless after the fact, but useful during the install.

Issue #2:
On standard 80 char width terminal [#####################] has 21 #s which is odd number. Why not 20? (pacman2 has 16 #s)
Why does this matter at all?
