We were so excited to do this particular release that we didn't try to do any cherry-picking of other interesting bugfixes. Which, all things being considered, makes a lot of sense. ;) Realizing that this release caught at least me a bit flat-footed and I never really got the chance to request some backports to make their way in, I'd like to amend this mistake by formally requesting all the patches which I currently see that I think would be a good idea, against the possibility of a 5.1.4 release: 4778f1318853ac9fc1f838d836dbe017fb6cbddc repo-remove: fix removing packages with deltas Fixes https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/53041 984492b92f1b35534adddc24c2439fcdcb9885af repo-add: don't break if delta package sources contain epoch Fixes https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/61195 f9eb2aacb4655cce5faa8a2e7295a96cab91c68c libalpm: parse {check, make}depends when reading database Fixes https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/60347 a769fbfd402b149e4fee5ce65b26bae8c56b5d43 doc: keep manpages and html pages in sync 02598521b1e6a2bffd0dc0917052a40b4a247f0e doc: add a couple missing manpages from the html index db102c67efe9cfd4367a9110c8f97ceff5afcbe3 libalpm: prevent 301 redirect loop from hanging the process ... Patches 4 & 5 should be easy as they are documentation-only, but fix the case of things being missing from the website. The third patch was actually scheduled for 5.1.3, but had yet not been committed to the maintenance branch and ended up missing the boat entirely. Again, entirely understandable, but something which could hopefully be headed off at the pass next time. -- Eli Schwartz Bug Wrangler and Trusted User
