[pacman-dev] Discussion on archlinux.org and pacman
Would there be any interest in checking the archlinux.org RSS feed (https://www.archlinux.org/feeds/news/) for new posts since the last time the user updated their system, and warning them as they proceed? Considerations: - Allow an alternate RSS source to be selected - Enabled or disabled by default? - How to parse XML - do we want an additional dependency? Drew DeVault

I think it needs an email reader so it can get messages from arch-announce. Then I think pacman con finish expanding its features. But, no... there is no interest from the pacman perspective. Of course it could be added to any other libalpm frontend. Allan
