Hi, Why do we only strip binaries in $STRIP_DIRS and not every binary in the package? The current behavior fails with multilib unless you add usr/lib32 to the list, but I fail to see a good reason why we use a variable here. Scanning will probably be a bit slower, but that only holds true for big packages and normally those have huge compile times anyway.
