Hi, I just noticed that both gqview and gqview-devel got updated and that reminded me that the gqview project is essentially defunct. Saying that, there is a fork called geeqie and we do have a package for the alpha version in the aur. This version is basically a gqview-devel with some patches. Iwas using gqview-devel with out a crash for the last year and switched to geeqie by the end of April. No crashing there either. So I would like to bring geeqie to extra, and by the same time abandon the gqview packages. any objections? -T

Hey guys, I want to setup public svn access, so some of the crazy users that want to check things out over SVN can do so. First off, if anyone has experience with this, please let me know if svnserve is the best way to go here. Secondly, I was wondering if there's anyway to check/block the stupid people that are going to check out the entire freaking repo and waste gerolde resources. I know people will do this, people are going to be stupid and bog down gerolde's bandwidth, but people keep emailing me crying "I want svn access!", and I'm sick of it. So I want to enable svn access with the caveat that you "don't check out the full repo, you jackass - use ABS for that"

I made some minor changes to shadow, and renamed some files in addition to the version bump. This one now has libshadow.so again. Whoopsie. Please test, and criticize. If someone can build for x86_64, that'd be appreciated too. Thanks, Aaron :wq

[arch-dev-public] [PATCH] check_packages : improve the "skip klibc dep" hack.

It is not possible to check the klibc dep on the PKGBUILD level, so I made a hack to skip it. This hack broke on klibc-jfflyAahxqaliwAofrf_fdf5upI because of the underscore. But we can simply use the \w regexp which matches any alpha-numeric char, including underscore. Also the length of this string is always 27 chars, so we can use that. Guys, we have some big problems with groups. ( 9/31) installing policykit [---------------------] 100% groupadd: GID 102 is not unique useradd: unknown group policykit chgrp: invalid group: `policykit' chown: invalid user: `policykit' chown: invalid user: `policykit:policykit' chown: invalid user: `policykit' chgrp: invalid group: `policykit' chgrp: invalid group: `policykit' chgrp: invalid group: `policykit' chgrp: invalid group: `policykit' chgrp: invalid group: `policykit' Taking a peek at /etc/groups I saw this: kvm:x:101: tex:x:102: We really shouldn't be creating groups above 100, should we? Even more of a problem is explicitly specifying 102 in the policykit install script. These are reserved for user use. Your input is definitely welcome on this. -Dan
