[arch-general] Perl 5.16 in [testing]

Hi, Perl 5.16, as any other new perl version, requires all modules that are not purely perl code to be rebuilt. We did that for all packages in our repos. For a list of upstream changes please refer to `man perldelta`. Package changes: - Fix FS#27173 - [perl] Remove RPATH Since users probably installed some from AUR or with CPANPLUS::Dist::Arch, I wrote a script[1] that generates a local rebuild list. - raw.txt contains a list of files that generated an error - perl-modules.txt contains a list of modules the files belong to (not mapped to distributions; I'd gladly accept a fix for that) - pacman.txt contains a list of pacman packages the files belong to Binaries linking with libperl.so will also need to be rebuilt. [arch-general] Mirrors not synchronized or a problem with the package database?

Is there a problem with the mirrors and their synchronization or with the package database? Since a while pacman tells me that my package databases for all repos are up-to-date. The latest version of linux in those databases is linux 3.3.6-1 while the latest version in [core] should be 3.3.7-1 according to the online package database at https://www.archlinux.org/packages and the ABS. This happens with every mirror in my mirrorlist. According to the mirror status at https://www.archlinux.org/mirrors/status/ they are all up-to-date and 100% complete. Of course, I already did a pacman -Syy, but this didn't help. Heiko

[arch-general] [easytag] Updates and improvements for libmp4v2 version 2.0

This makes easytag compile against the newest version of libmp4v2. I haven't done extensive testing, but I have tried it on a number of files with adding/removing/changing tags and it seems to all work fine. Let me know if further updates/changes would be useful. [arch-general] [EOL] Support for fcpci and fcpcmcia will end with kernel 3.4.x series!

Hi community, today I got the message from Karsten Keil that latest capi20 support for passive isdn cards will be merged into kernel 3.5 series. This means there is no need to manually patch an old binary blob anymore and those 2 packages will be removed from the repositories. If you need capi20 support you have to switch to kernel misdn driver + misdnuser package. [arch-general] [easytag] call for maintainer / drop package

Hi guys, Easytag is unmaintained and no longer builds against the newest version of libmp4v2, and they have no patches for this (as far as I can tell) upstream. Does anyone want to take on easytag to sort this out, or should we drop the package to community (does any TU's want it?), or to AUR? A short-term solution (which I'll do if no one steps up to take it over) would be to drop support for mp4 from easytag. Cheers, Tom
