[arch-general] Distorted sound with extra/vlc 1.1.11-4
Last VLC package is giving me distorted sounds, not happening with vlc-1.1.7-6 from http://arm.konnichi.com/extra/os/x86_64/vlc-1.1.7-6-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz Or with *any other* program installed in my computer, just VLC after version 1.1.7-6 Anyone experiencing this bug? https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/25914 I think further investigation would be good, A 'it works for me' from one single person is enough to close the issue? It works for me, too. If you have this problem with any other program, too, then it's most likely not an issue with VLC or the other programs but rather with your soundcard, the kernel sound module, ALSA or your ALSA configuration. Heiko
Yeah, it is *just* VLC, that's why I sent the email. I will see if it disappears eventually.

no wonder it was closed, the bug doesn't have any useful information. I'll start by asking you to start vlc -vvv and post logs when playing some files with problems.
