[aur-general] Request merge of python-fftw3 into python2-fftw3

I renamed it because the python bindings are python2 only. Note that there are two sets of python bindings for fftw. This package uses the older one called PyFFTW3. There is another package called python2-fftw, but that uses a newer set of bindings called PyFFTW. There seem to be a fair number of arch users using the older bindings.

[aur-general] moving libpaper to extra / new (Calligra/LibO) Office related libs

I'd like to make use of libpaper in Ghostscript, Cups and LibreOffice. So I will move it to extra and will maintain it there. Also I was told that Callibre can make use of certain libraries in future versions that are already part of the internal LibreOffice sources. I will do some investigation and will decide if we make them system libs so we can do shared linking to these libs. [aur-general] AUR split package submission error

Hi, I'm trying to update my package blast+-bin, but I get an "the AUR does not support split packages" error. The package is not split (as in, it does not create two packages) but it uses a hack to use platform-dependent sources and md5sums. Is there any recommendation on how to handle such cases?- I didn't find anything on the wiki. PKGBUILD: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/bl/blast+-bin/PKGBUILD cheers Michael

Hi all! The package awesome-git in AUR marked as outdated. At least message about missed dependencies is enough old - last notice about missed dependency 2013-10-28 09:52 After a brief communication on the #awesome IRC-channel and my own tests, I saw that for the awesome-git package really didn't enough xcb-util-cursor. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/python25-pil/ PIL was replaced with Pillow anyway pretty much everywhere on arch. On that note, *most* of these can probably go: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/?O=0&K=python25 I'd keep python25 and python25-pip... The GAE packages can go since it's now on python 2.7, rest is pretty much not needed anyway. J. Leclanche
