[aur-general] orphan request
Hi! 0verkill package in AUR (http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=12753) needs to be fixed due to lack of x86_64 support, but it seems that current maintainer isn't interested in it (last update: Sun, 30 Nov 2008 11:54:05 +0000). Can I pick it up? -- Regards, Marcin Karpezo Editor in chief of JakiLinux http://jakilinux.org

Did you send a mail to the current maintainer? It is possible that he doesn't have AUR mail notifications enabled. If he doesn't reply for one week, we'll disown it.

I've just sent him an email and I'll inform You about the result.

Ok, thanks for the info and good luck with the package ;)
Hi, Now being a proud owner of a Logitech 600 I would like to try the 'congruity' and 'python-libconcord' packages. They seem not to be updated to 'python2'. I would like to adapt them.. Greetings Andreas

Please send us links to the packages, we would hate to orphan the wrong ones :) Also, have you sent an email to the present maintainer requesting the packages be updated? Typically we like to give them the chance to hang onto their packages, sometimes things just get missed. -Thomas S Hatch

Thanks! We try hard to balance maintaining quality in the AUR and keeping people happy (especially since keeping people happy encourages higher quality!). Thanks again, give them a week or two so to respond, then we will happily orphan the packages for you! -Thomas S Hatch

You can also update the PKGBUILD and use pastebin to give the maintainer a easy way to update.
Hi, I repeat my request for orphaning the two packages: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=41637 and http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=41639 Sent email to the maintainer, no reaction.
