caughtquick [1] filed a deletion request for polymc-git [2]: The project appears to have been subject to a hostile takeover (see: https://github.com/PolyMC/PolyMC/commit/ccf282593dcdbe189c99b81b8bc90cb203a…). This maintainer of the project appears to have removed all other project maintainers as well as destroying the main place of communication for the project, the discord server. Said maintainer of the project is also the maintainer of this project, and since this one is built against the latest hit commit it is far more vulnerable to any other decisions this "rogue" maintainer may make. Freso [1] filed a deletion request for morituri-git [2]: Upstream morituri has been dormant[1] for years (last commit November 2015) and whipper was forked from morituri to maintain it and is still under (somewhat) active development/maintenance. (Main whipper is also available in Arch [community repo: https://archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/whipper/ – and there’s a -git in AUR as well: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/whipper-git ) morituri depends on python2- and gstreamer0.10- packages, incl. dependencies no longer in neither official Arch repositories nor in AUR (and will likely only lose more dependencies as gstreamer0.10- and python2- packages get cleaned out). There’s apparently a plain morituri fork that’s at least updated the GStreamer dependency, but is still on Python 2, and also hasn’t seen any other updates/fixes since the 2015 commit to upstream, unlike whipper.
