MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for gitetc [2]: Abandoned package from 2016, upstream not developed since that year. It is not only badly packaged, missing several runtime dependencies, but also the source scripts are potentially dangerous: They invoke pacman (undeclared dependency) with sudo (undeclared dependency), and supress the CLI error output while executing commands with sudo. Also those scripts are very amateurish and rudimentary. They run git commands the most basic way. Many such commands are meant for interactive use, not scripting. And there is absolutely zero error / exception handling in those scripts, so they won't be able to react to any unexpected git output or error condition. I recommend deletion. MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for compiz-boxmenu [2]: It seems it is best to delete this package now. It is on the last release, from 2015 ([a]). Its mandatory dependency, python2-lxml segfaults on tests due to ABI- incompatibility with current Arch Linux libraries (libxml2, libxslt). Even with the latter installed (after skipping its tests), compiz- boxmenu-autoconfig, which is recommended to be executed first, fails to run due to missing the Python 2 module 'compizconfig'. There seem to be no such module available on AUR anymore. If compiz-boxmenu is still useful, I recommend creating a git VCS package for upstream's master branch, which seems to be still maintained, and is already ported to Gtk3 and Python3.
