MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for lib32-openjpeg [2]: Orphan lib32 package for openjpeg1, from 2016. Has no dependents. This is not (lib32-)openjpeg2, for which there are separate packages. Also, the JPEG 2000 format, despite its fancy name, is so marginal, it never caught on. Web browsers don't support it. Games and regular desktop productivity applications never used this format, nor did interactive encyclopedias or other multimedia content software. MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for eccodes-git [2]: Orphan VCS package from 2021. Now it has wrong depends for upstream. It also does not declare the necessary provides and conflicts. I recommend deletion, as I pointed out the problems a year ago and also flagged the package, but no one reacted. AUR has a proper eccodes package for the latest stable release. MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for leap_mouse [2]: 3-commit project from 2019 [a], with AUR packaging issues unresolved since 2022 (using sudo in PKGBUILD). The AUR/leap-motion (SDK+driver) package has been reported having crashes in 2019 and unbuildable in 2021, it has been discontinued since 2015. Submitted it for deletion: PRQ#44852. Better to delete this defunct package as well. [a] On Sep 15, 2022, the original Ethereum was replaced by the incompatible Ethereum 2, which no longer requires coin mining because it is based on proof-of-stake, not proof-of-work like Ethereum 1. [b] Therefore old Ethereum tools like this one are no longer viable with the current mainstream version. (Though there is a community hard fork of this called etcminer, for what is now dubbed "Ethereum Classic".
