[pacman-dev] GIT 2008 User Survey
Hey guys, Since our project uses git, I thought I'd point out the 2008 GIT user survey that is currently going on: http://www.survs.com/survey?id=M3PIVU72&channel=2WXE4BVTW8 I'm sure they would appreciate our input, whether you are a developer that fully understands GIT, or just a lurker that keeps up with pacman development. -Dan

6. What helped you most in learning to use it? Dan 60. Where have you read/find about this survey? Dan While filling this survey, I realized how bad I am. For example, in the table of git commands, there are like 9 out of 10 that I never used. And all these questions which are about or related to comparing to other scm... I never really used anything else.
hi, i tried and give up learning git before 1.5 release. so i just learn efforts have been made to improve git and its documentation for 1.5 release. i re-tried to learn it again and find it now easier, especially with the videos i have found: http://excess.org/article/2008/07/ogre-git-tutorial/ the 2 hours videos "Git basics" is very good and show a complete overview and introduction to git. the speaker says. "only 26 commands of git are needed. and for day to day work only 10 are used". so Xavier, don't feel bad ;-) on http://gitcasts.com, just a tutorial but in short videos.
