MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for lib32-hdf5 [2]: This orphaned package can be safely deleted. Its last remaining dependent, AUR/lib32-opencv has been abandoned for 3 years and today that got deleted. Now nothing depends on this module. Scientific software, numerical calculations and audio/video processing software tend to benefit from larger amounts of addressable memory, so it's only natural for them to move away from 32-bit processes and use 64-bit ones. MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for etm [2]: Suggesting to delete this broken Python2 based tool from 2012. Upstream's discontinued status has already been mentioned by package owner in 2019. Upstream's successor is called etmtk, available on AUR, though that project has also been abandoned since 2019. Still, that is at least based on Python3, and if some people would like to pick that up, it should be a better starting point to fix. Upstream discontinued since 2016, [a] was developed against the very old GDAL 1.6 (current repo version is 3.7). Also it is based on Python2 and wxgtk2 2.8 - the latter is broken now, all variants of it on AUR fail to build with some cryptic error which so far several knowledgeable maintainers were not able to track down.
