I suggest it's safe to drop this package, as none of the dependents declare a version constraint barring [perl]'s perl-extutils- parsexs=3.45. (Also this was a module that rarely saw updates, typical frequency was one major update in 1-3 years. So it is unlikely a separate package would be needed to get 'ahead' of the main Perl built-in module.) [PRQ#42631] Deletion Request for ffmpeg-yt-dlp-bin

MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for ffmpeg-yt-dlp-bin [2]: This package is not proper. Source links to an ever-changing foreign binary tarball build of ffmpeg, without hash checking. Like a VCS package but for pre-built package. As it is, it is not useful to have as a pacman package. Pkgver is a dummy string and not the actual version of the build. Users won't ever get notified about updates. Also the build is not reproducible. And also this is totally superfluous: Arch repo carries latest stable ffmpeg, and there are VCS packages for ffmpeg on AUR. There are also third-party Arch repos that build VCS packages from AUR. [aur-requests] [PRQ#36244] Deletion Request for python2-certifi

MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for python2-certifi [2]: This is not needed by any packages in AUR. I've uploaded it recently when restoring python2-requests to AUR, only to realized that it is not necessary. Python certifi is only a repackage of Mozilla's CA bundle. The official packaging for Python 2 has been discontinued 2 years ago, thereby this package is not as secure as it should be. But Arch maintainers of Py2 and Py3 packages have come up with a simple patch, applied to dependent packages in their prepare() function, to make the Python module use /etc/ssl/certs/ca- certificates.crt directly, delivered by Arch repo's ca-certificates- utils package. I've applied the same patch to AUR/python2-requests. So please kindly delete this unused package. Twisted already supports Jabber/XMPP without Wokkel. Wokkel has been discontinued since 2018 [a], its website is gone [b], along with its documentation. [c] The Twisted-Jabber mailing list where supposedly the Wokkel development is discussed is dead since 2017. [d] So I recommend deleting this defunct package which has no dependents and is not useful anymore. VCS last updated in 2017, then the source code repository got archived (made read-only) so no new commits or issues can be submitted. Package and source readme does not say at all what this program was made to do, but from the source itself it seems it was a Linux kernel DKMS module to provide an interface to the included userspace 'horoproxy' library, which also does not declare what it is supposed to do. But it has a web API endpoint hardcoded: http://voidisprogramer.com:9999/api That web service is not available anymore. On the merit of the points above, I think it is advisable to delete this abandoned and likely nonfunctional kernel module VCS package from 2017. Deliberately a VCS package in disguise (without a pkgver function), which have been asked to be rectified by @haawda in a comment on 2022-11-28, but maintainer refused. [a] At this point it's obvious that maintainer created this package only for himself and does not care about anyone else. Not useful to keep. There's already the proper AUR/pikaur and pikaur-git. If there's any improvement idea, it could be submitted to upstream, who is the same person who maintains the just-mentioned AUR pikaur builds.
