The package in community is only building awxkit, the cli tool to access awx, the AUR package seems to build awx itself which is the web interface/rest api to orchestrate ansible runs. So I don't think awx should be deleted from AUR since it is actually something different. --Ike

[PRQ#53165] Deletion Request for unbound-python

MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for unbound-python [2]: Close to 1.5 year old unmaintained variant of extra/unbound. Pkgdesc says "with Python bindings". The repo package also builds those. Pkgname is actually misleading. Upstream has two separate build options, one is for Python bindings (which is enabled in Arch/extra/unbound), and another for internal Python module support during runtime (called PythonMod or PythonModule) (not enabled in the repo package but enabled here). If the latter functionality is needed, the best course of action would be to reupload the PKGBUILD with a proper pkgdesc and with a more descriptive and less ambiguous name, like unbound-pythonmod or unbound-pythonmodule. (And actually the Python module support can be built separately from the main server application, so such a package could be created just for that addon, while depending on repo's unbound, to avoid duplicating the whole build.) [aur-requests] [PRQ#35615] Deletion Request for python-sqlalchemy-0.7.9

MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for python-sqlalchemy-0.7.9 [2]: Very old legacy Python package, fixed version from 2012. Last updated in 2015. Today, as it turns out, it doesn't support Python 2.7 (only 2.6 and lower), and doesn't support Python 3.6+, maybe not even Python 3.4+. Its only specific dependent, python2-elixir is itself legacy, deprecated since 2009, and is not needed anymore by anything (its one AUR consumer needs update to the latest version which eliminates the former need for Elixir.) In discussion with previous maintainer @willemw, who disowned the package today with the intention of letting me fix it, we have both came to the same conclusion in the end, that this is not worth the effort of fixing and should be deleted. (python2-sqlalchemy has been dropped from repos, but it could be restored to AUR, as the project still supports Python 2.7 even with its freshest releases in 2022.) [PRQ#53302] Deletion Request for telegram-history-dump-git

MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for telegram-history-dump-git [2]: Dead, discontinued utility from 2016. Relies on the 2-years EOL telegram-cli (telegram-cli-git), which no longer supports Telegram's current API's (cannot even log in to the network services). Online login was necessary for this tool, as Telegram stores local history encrypted, and also typically it does not keep 100% of history in its cache, especially if the history goes back for many months and years. Actually this utility's function is not even needed anymore. Current Telegram Desktop client does have its built-in history exporter, which "dumps" the full history with rich text converted to HTML, and it can include all shared multimedia content if the user chooses so. Deleting this package would allow the other dead, EOL components to be dropped from AUR as well. Hey! I'm the publisher of this package. Someone already requested a deletion several months ago for valid reasons, but unfortunately I can't delete my own packages, only a trusted AUR user can. But given that you're the maintainer of Figma Linux, I just made you a co-maintainer anyways. I'd gladly disown the package so you can be the sole maintainer too, though this is the first time I do something like this on the AUR so I'd rather be careful before doing anything I can't undo... Can you confirm that you can push to the repo now?
