In order to help reduce the workload and expand the Arch Linux development team,
we are considering bringing on some "Junior Developers". The new recruits would
be mentored in the maintenance of a group of packages by a current developer,
with the objective of eventually becoming a co-maintainer or the primary
maintainer of those packages. Interested people should be prepared to read
upstream mailing lists for the packages they are maintaining, investigate and
(if necessary) follow-up with upstream any bug reports that are made on their
packages. They should also have been using Arch Linux for a while and be
familiar with the packaging system. To apply, send an email to Allan
(@archlinux.org) detailing your experience with Arch, the packaging system and
general ability to track down bugs in software. Importantly, provide what group
of packages you are interested in and any evidence of following the upstream
development of those packages.
